She promissed to dispatch it on Tuesday.\nRight after our telephone call I ordered this jacket online and payed by credit card (because paypal was "not available at the mom"). \nI got your parcel already today, Thursday, June 12 (12:30 local time). This means delivery within 3 days! This is absolutely crazy! I am totally impressed and very happy. This seems like a great jacket. I'm 6,2, 190 lbs with a 42 inch chest, size 44 fits perfectly in every dimension save for length. Normally I'd go with a tall, but it extends the arms and I have plenty of length in the arms as it is. So. . . I have a slightly shorter jacket. The leather in the back ends around the small of my back, and the wool knit section comes to around my belt line. If Im wearing a longer tee it'll poke out below the jacket, which is a little unfortunate. That said, everything else is great. I have optimal mobility, unlike a lot of leather jackets which don't gusset the arms correctly. On this jacket I can raise and lower my arms, do the hug test, fully pull back my arms, no problem. I like the fact that the zipper is megachonk, feels very secure. The wind flap is a little big and hard to move the zipper around but I suspect it'll break in. Minor leather smell, nothing too overwhelming. The liner is super nice, I really like the fact that it's easy to put on and take off over a sweater. This is a really nice jacket.

There are other sites that sell cockpit items but I wanted mine from the source. Also, I could pop into Manhattan if I needed to exchange it. I received it, and had a bit of remorse which quickly went away. Understand this is a blouson type jacket, so you won't look like General Savage in 12 o'clock high, and if you're like me you're no Maverick either. Nonetheless, once you put it on, you'll know why you bought it. The leather is so beautiful and very tough. I ordered size 44, because I have a 42" inch chest ( 5'10", 175ibs) and it fits perfectly! No problem with sleeve length or the length of the jacket itself. I've worn it on days that the temps were in the teens, but I wore my heavy submariner sweater under it. If you have the money I recommend buying it. It really is a premium quality item

The jacket was encased in a plastic sleeve and then squarely folded and neatly wrapped in pristine tissue paper with the Cockpit USA logo.\n\nI had been looking for a Navy G1 jacket and after scouring the available reviews and pics of various brands, I decided on the Cockpit USA G1. I love the look, fit and feel of this jacket. The goatskin leather is soft and comfortable, despite not having adequate time to be broken in. The features and details (flap, pockets, collar) are as I remembered. I'm 5'7", 160lbs, and the size 40 Regular I ordered is the perfect "slim" fit I was looking for. My second (first one was returned for a larger size) G-1 Flight Jacket arrived a few days ago and I can't wait for the cold weather to arrive here in Florida. The fit, workmanship, and overall quality is just outstanding and the smell of leather- well what can I say! Having grown-up in a Navy Family, as a teenager I was always wearing my dad's Navy Issue Leather Jacket. But as I got older and taller, I outgrew his, but could never afford one of my own. Now finally at age 82 I've got my very own, authentic, G-1 Naval Flight Jacket and couldn't be happier. Thank you for helping to make this Christmas a very special one for me, as I sit here at my computer, wearing my new G-1 Jacket, writing this review. This is the type of jacket that was intended to be worn day in and day out, to provide a sense of class, importance, and comfort in a generally rough setting (Naval Carrier Aviation), and so, you sort of start to live in it.\n\nI cannot begin to describe just how intelligently the jacket's sections are cut for flexibility and how simple, but intuitive, the features of the jacket are. The stomach utility pocket are enormous, have hand-insert pockets behind them, and are placed perfectly for both purposes. The interior lining and the cuffs are hyper comfortable. Like a good pair of glasses, sometimes I forget I have the jacket on, which should speak volumes to the level of comfort it brings to the table. This is a jacket that feels like it's a natural extension of your body.\n\nBy far my favorite thing about this jacket, something that continually manages to amaze me despite having worn it frequently for months now, is how sections of the jacket like the cuffs or behind the arms, fold / accordion in and out to move with you as you stretch. That allows the jacket to retain its silhouette without use of elastic, and that is such an undervalued feature in Men's jackets these days. I realized after wearing this jacket, that all of my other clothing was either baggily cut or was box cut to achieve comfort, or worse, wasn't cut for comfort. This flight jacket is straight out of a sartorial lineup, and is truly made for the human form.\n\nIt's got a brilliant look that veers toward vintage. The dye rides the line so well between black and brown leather jackets that it essentially reigns supreme over both categories -- yet another way that this jacket makes itself a timeless staple in my wardrobe and makes me feel immune to trends.\n\nI typically wear it with the fur collar detached and with the front unzipped. It instantly evokes a suave and capable character. I can't stress enough how much this jacket has become my favorite clothing item. I find excuses to wear it.
