Inspired by the serious riders who live on the road, the Road Warrior Jacket, featured above, is the newest addition to the Cockpit USA Motorcycle Collection. This jacket features a classic “D” front pocket design, removable mouton fur collar, and adjustable side panels for protection and added armor, but easy and comfortable to wear. Authentic and built to last, this jacket remains true to the roots of motorcycle enthusiasts of the 21st Century and is lined with a limited edition 50th Anniversary printed appliqué. Made from full-grain, whole hides, sturdy and drum-dyed horsehide, the Road Warrior Jacket is built for the road but engineered like a flight jacket.
Using only the best materials, the leather is a natural, sturdy, full-grain, moto weight horsehide, but still flexible wearable horsehide. The lining is a typical 1930s era biker-red smooth twill. Its silhouette is adopted from an admired vintage moto jacket, the Town Squire. Complete with a zippered front as well as zippered side entry and breast pockets, this moto jacket is reminiscent of the first era of motorcycle culture. The zippers use a chain pull which was replicated to complete the vintage feeling. When zippered, the sleeves are slightly tapered to keep out cold winds. In homage to the originals, this jacket boasts a wrap-around, snap-close throat latch; a necessity for any true racing enthusiast. An accurate portrayal of English style, later adopted by American bike racers, this jacket makes a timeless style statement.
Originally created in New York, the vintage-style motorcycle jacket is an American Classic. Our Midnight Rider Moto Jacket is inspired by elements of a 1930s motorcycle jacket called the Westerner. With its silver-sage twill lining and black, full-grain horsehide, the Midnight Rider is the perfect simplified rendition of the classic moto jacket. This USA-made horsehide motorcycle jacket has two side entry pockets and three inside pockets, which are great for maximizing what you can carry. The snap-close cuffs are lined with a grey corduroy as are the inside pockets- a bit of extra luxuriousness.
