I was in the market for the M-65 but also did not want to sacrifice quality, durability, and functionality. After doing plenty of research and reading the reviews for each company's version of the jacket, I narrowed down to three companies. Cockpit's M-65 jacket just made sense. Also, Matt was very helpful and patient. I will say the sizing can je deceiving. Some say you have to go down a size while others say it runs small. I can only speak on my body type. I'm 5'9, 230 muscle. The originals run big and on the sizing chart it had me at a XL. However, I opted for the L which fits perfectly. . . . without the liner. Which is fine. It doesn't get that cold where I'm from. I am very pleased with the jacket. I wanted a M-65 to honor the all black military units during WWI, WWII, and post Civil War era. Also, during the era of prominent Black activist.

I truly did NOT realaize how very cool this M65 jacket from Cockpit really is. But before I get into that I want to tell you about this company. About a month ago I wasn't sure about the availability of a jacket I ordered from Cockpit. I texted the company about the jacket's status. It being a Saturday I was not expecting a response til at least mid week. Within 2 hours I received a response from Jacky Clyman- the OWNER of the company advising me that the jacket was in fact available. Never have I ever received such a quick and courteous response especially on a weekend and let alone from the very owner of the company. I was so impressed that I ordered several more jackets from Cockpit. Ms. Clyman was so courteous and professional in her subsequent responses and the jackets were so well made that when I had the chance I ordered the M65. I never thought that the jacket's quality would be so superior. It is cut perfectly and fits beautifully. It's a very good looking jacket too. Well worth the money. I don't think it runs large. Mine fits very well. Buy from this company!!!! You will NOT go wrong. Ms. Clyman runs an extremely fine establishment.
