"I had the exact same jacket back in the 1980's and I recently bought a new one and it's exactly the same. The jacket fits a bit baggy, there is no inner chest pocket and the cut doesn't allow you to raid your arms up high. However, it's these quirks that make the jacket actually great! The original WWII jackets were exactly the same, so you are getting the most authentic WWII replica available anywhere and it's why I love this one so much. I had the same "issues" back in the 80's but I grew 2 inches when I was teenager, so I outgrew my original one. When I tried this one, all the same peculiarities were still there. I knew it I found it again and it was like reuniting with an old friend. Don't let the issues be an issue, it's what precisely makes these jackets so special and absolutely perfect!"

Beautiful Jacket!

"I purchased this jacket with the intent of adding "Nose Art" on the back and some additional Art on the front and sides of the jacket which is not finished yet. I have been working with the COCKPITUSA's management to finalize the CAD preview(s) in achieving the look(s) and style(s) to make my completed jacket: "A WORK OF ART THAT IS SECOND TO NONE". It is my intention and Challenge for "COCKPITUSA" to co-create and exhibit this completed jacket; as the finest example as a "21ST CENTURY NOSE ART MASTERPIECE" they can create for the "250th Anniversary of the Greatest Military On Earth". No photos yet but, they can be supplied by COCKPITUSA when said item is created and finished! A big thank you to everyone involved in the creation of my jacket ahead of time! Best regards, Richard"

I have seen many original and reproductions.

"I would estimate this jacket a keeper, the sleeves are probably a little too long, and stretch to fit. . . well it kind of does. I think the 44 Regular 40th Anniversary A-2 Flight Jacket Z21W009 was a better more exacting fit, but you never made one in just original Horsehide, and opted for the Vintage look, which would have worked, but when you sewed the hand loop through the back of the jacket, it was so brittle that it caused leather chipping where the needle punctured through. So I opted for your compromise WWII A-2 Horsehide Leather Flight Jacket in Mahogany - Z2107H. I will make it work, by folding the knit cuffs under themselves, and live with the extra leather in the back, until stretched out. I know you kind of compromised on this, to cover a wider range of people, and overall believe you have done a fairly good job. Again, I know why the sleeves are longer, and it would be nice to have them sewn in half way, but will do my best to live with a slight inconvenience."

Because of their design and purpose it’s VERY important to know your measurements.
