"I had my fathers old N1 deck jacket for many years. It was too small for me. and pretty used up, but I loved it. (he must have too, as he was in the Air Corps, and not the Navy??). It finally fell apart. Once it was gone, I wanted to find a new, better sized version to last my lifetime. I did. The Cockpit N1 is not an exact copy. but for everyday wear and use it is very very good. And it fits me now! I also noticed my family says it looks good on me (usually they don't like or notice anything I wear?) too! Too bad it's spring now, I won't get to really enjoy it for months. But, the fit is excellent, and the quality is way way better than most jackets I have. I'm sure my Dad would approve."

Its good but

"Jacket fits well mostly. Most original N1 had some provision for cinching the waist to help with wind. This one doesn't and it seems quite a bit lighter than most other versions I've handled. Works well for warmer climates l8ke here in Texas but northern climates will definitely require layering underneath which will probably require sizing up"

Nice Jacket; Far Too Big

"The materials and stitching seems to be quality, and the jacket is definitely warm! Unfortunately it is also overly large. I feel as though I’m swimming in it whenever I put it on. I used the sizing tool on the website, and purchased the Large that it recommended. I am about 5’11” and 188lbs. , and I would have been just fine with a medium, I feel. Also, there is no drawstring at the waist, a feature common on original versions, and which would have been handy with such an oversized jacket as I could cinch it tighter at the waist. The sleeves are too long, as well, but I’m finding that’s an issue common with CockpitUSA jackets. The quality of the jacket seems good, but buyer beware of sizing issues!"
