Cockpit USA hit another one out of the park!

"This is my second jacket buying experience with CockpitUSA. Both of the jackets I purchased were replacements for U.S. Navy issued jackets I was issued in the Navy, which went "missing" (suspected stolen) during the shipping of my belongings home by the Navy when I left the service. That same box contained a TV, my G-1 leather and CWU-36/P flight jackets when I turned them over to NAVSUP for shipment...and I never saw them again. Over the intervening years I had frequently lamented losing them and finally determined to save some money and acquire some new ones. I still had my Nomex CWU-45/P's, as they were in a different box, and DID make it home to me. I purchased a new G-1 from CockpitUSA in 2022, and as the review I wrote describes, I couldn't have been happier with it and it is my frequent companion when I walk out the door. As I only had the two winter weight CWU-45/P's, which are only suitable for late Fall and Winter wear, I wanted to replace the intermediate weight 36/P that went missing, so I could wear it at any time of year. For this reason, I wanted a very good quality jacket, but realized that it didn't have to be made of Nomex. I checked around at different manufacturers, but discovered that only a few sold the 36/P's to the civilian market. Of the one's I found, CockpitUSA seemed to be the most true to the one I had in the Navy and from my experience with my purchase of the G-1, I was sure the quality would be high. When I received an email from GovX that I could get a veterans discount from CockpitUSA I knew I had to strike! I had decided on the "US Fighter Weapons Jacket" model Z2285, as it was substantially less than the standard Nomex CWU-36/P model, as it was made of nylon, rather than Nomex. When I added the US Fighter Weapons Jacket to the cart, and input the info for my GovX discount, I was thrilled to see that it took a whopping $60 off the price! I bought it immediately! From the availability caveat at the end of the description page, I was expecting it to take several weeks to receive the jacket. I was amazed when I received a shipping notification the day after making payment, and I received the jacket 7 days later! The quality, as expected, is amazing. The fit is terrific, and is very comfortable. The finish of the jacket is beautiful and classic, with handsome embroidered tags and precise stitching. It is just a great looking jacket! I wasted no time getting my patches sewn on my new jacket. I have attached a photo of me wearing it with the patches on. I've also attached a photo of me wearing my CockpitUSA U.S. Navy Issue Mil Spec G-1 Jacket (Z2108). I simply couldn't be more stoked with my new jacket! CockpitUSA hit another one out of the park!"

Great built, very comfortable for flight

"Just took this on a roundtrip from the Eastern US to South Korea and was very comfortable. It's not too hot so I could wear a sweatshirt under it if the plane was cold. The inside pocket was my favorite surprise feature and I used it to store my belongings more than the plane's seat pocket. I also used it for securely storing my wallet, phone, and passport at the same time while moving through the airports. I've customized it with custom patches and will be adding more over the years."
