Always wanted one!!

"Awesome jacket!!! Very sharp looking and well made. Initially I thought they accidentally sent me the heavyweight, but even the “lightweight” jacket is still heavy. I wore a t shirt with the jacket in single digit temperatures and was toasty. The sheepskin needed some lanolin oil and some wear for break in at first. The more I wear it, the better it gets!! My only gripe is I didn’t know cockpit offers customization until a month after I bought the jacket. Overall sweet jacket and I’m very satisfied."

"So the jackets are amazing. Great quality and if you pay attention to the size chart and know your measurements you can get a great fit. The jackets do run a bit larger than standard sizing, but the info you need to get the fit you want is there. I chose the RAF fighter weight jacket upstanding the it would have thinner wool liner as I wanted a little less bulk but it’s still very warm."

Questionable quality, Poor fit.

"After wanting one of these for years, I decided to finally order my own Irvin jacket. After taking it out of the box, the first thing I noticed is how thin and cracked the leather was for 85% of the jacket(the leather for the collar was a really great thickness). I had to immediately condition the leather before even thinking about trying the jacket on. Once I could try it on, the jacket is far too tight. I went by the sizing guide exactly, and even called to confirm that I had the right size. For a jacket this expensive, I was expecting top notch quality. If it weren't for steep customs fees and shipping, i would return this jacket and not look back."

Really good winter bomber

"After multiple trues with other models I was finally able to find the model that suits and fits me the most! This particular model has a very useful feature of shaved shearling inside that makes it easier to layer underneath and removes a lot of unnecessary bulk without compromising on warmth. Cant wait to try it on once the weather goes south! Good job Cockpit!"
