Whether or not the convenience of capturing moments and subsequent masses of photos and video have resulted in a loss of meaning is open for debate. However, one thing is for sure - during WWII when the ease of recording anything was hampered by toiling battles and lack of equipment, access to footage of that time is certain to carry weighty sentiment and significance.
