Last week saw a whole host of stars, glitterati and leaders of the fashion world raise money and toast the Hope for Hearts Foundation first ever 'Raise a Glass' event in New York City. Set in the stunning Vinatta Project, the newest addition to the Meatpacking District's glamorous collection of bars and restaurants, the benefit wine mixer was aimed at raising awareness and money in aid of those needing heart transplants. Along with raising $8,000 through a silent auction which included a G1 leather jacket donated by Cockpit USA, amongst the 150 attendees a great majority signed up to be organ donors. The magnitude of newly recruited donors was a great outcome considering founder Veronica De La Cruz's speech in which she revealed the minimal number of contributors. All proceeds will go to the non profit Eric De La Cruz Hope For Hearts Foundation.
