Out of the battle, bloodshed and misery, the Second World War produced many defining images of its era and artwork that still stands strong and inspires to this day. From the nose art and pin-ups which appear on a selection of Cockpit USA leather aviation jackets, including the iconic Las Vegas Lady and Second Chance to the snapshot of the sailor and the nurse kissing in Times Square, no war since has bred such significant imagery with regards to propaganda posters, photographs and the scrawling of soldiers themselves. We’ve gone through the archives and dug out a selection of our favorite, awe inspiring visuals. Enjoy!
