Winner of two Oscars and three Golden Globes, Apocalypse Now is a war movie of epic proportions. Released in 1979 and set during the Vietnam war, the story follows Captain Benjamin L. Willard played by Martin Sheen, an US Army special operations officer in Cambodia as he goes out in search of Special Forces Colonel Walter E. Kurtz, played by the legendary Marlon Brando. Willard's mission is to kill Willard, as he is believed to be an insane dissenter of the army. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Apocalypse Now is composed of all the components which make it the iconic film it is.
