Cockpit USA Culture Fix: National Museum of American History

With a company history and style immersed in history, here at Cockpit USA we often find ourselves getting more clued up and in the know by getting lost at museums. An all round favorite of ours is the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Located in Washington DC, the museum is home to over 3 million artifacts and is dedicated to preserving and honoring our proud American past (something we have in common!) From the original Star-Spangled Banner to Abraham Lincoln’s top hat and Dorothy’s ruby slippers from “The Wizard of Oz.”, this building truly holds all our national treasures! Also under the same roof is a section close to our hearts and a source of great inspiration for our collections - the Division of Armed Forces History. Charting the history of the U.S. military through an endless display of flags, uniforms, specific insignias to name a few, this section will have you occupied for hours!
