Stories Of The Jacket: R.A.F. Sheepskin Jacket

Designed according to the 1938 Irvin Airchute Co. pattern, the R.A.F. Sheepskin Jacket is the epitome of English heroism during the war and a must addition to any self respecting winter closet! Worn over London skies by English fighter pilots in their Spitfires during battle against Nazi bombers, this jacket provided the warmth and freedom of movement needed during battle. Crafted from hand cut, supple sheepskin pelts, the jacket boasts original details including leather belt closures, zippered cuffs, leather welted seams, underarm ventilation grommets, an interior canvas equipment pouch and a full frontal zipper over a storm flap. The jacket is completed with the Cockpit USA modern addition of side entry hand warming pockets, which make it extra wearable and convenient in colder weather. Proudly made (to keep you warm and toasty!) in the USA.
