A handsome example of original 1960's cold war armed forces attire at its finest, the Cockpit USA M-65 men's military field jacket is an impeccably tailored and truly authentic hooded field jacket made to 1965 military spec. A highly prized and timeless style, the made in the USA M-65 field jacket has made silver- screen appearances on Hollywood stars Robert de Niro in the movie Taxi Driver and Al Pacino in Serpico. Originally worn by American military troops from the 1960s through to the 1990s, this genuine M-65 army field jacket with liner is crafted from wind and water-repellant cotton/nylon sateen. Featuring four oversized bellows snap down pockets, a Velcro close throat latch, epaulets, a bi- swing back for ease and comfort of movement, a zippered collar containing a hidden, extendable hood, and extended cuffs for hand protection, which are adjustable using Velcro closures. We have added two interior pouch pockets for extra equipment and modern convenience. This vintage M-65 Field Jacket is proudly made in the USA of USA fabric.

"Im 5’8” ~180 lbs. I usually wear medium shirts and jackets. I got this in medium so I had a liner too. The liner is nice and warm. It fits well with room to layer, I could size the jacket down for a tailored fit but then it would probably be too small to wear a thick hoody under."

"I was in the market for the M-65 but also did not want to sacrifice quality, durability, and functionality. After doing plenty of research and reading the reviews for each company's version of the jacket, I narrowed down to three companies. Cockpit's M-65 jacket just made sense. Also, Matt was very helpful and patient. I will say the sizing can je deceiving. Some say you have to go down a size while others say it runs small. I can only speak on my body type. I'm 5'9, 230 muscle. The originals run big and on the sizing chart it had me at a XL. However, I opted for the L which fits perfectly. . . . without the liner. Which is fine. It doesn't get that cold where I'm from. I am very pleased with the jacket. I wanted a M-65 to honor the all black military units during WWI, WWII, and post Civil War era. Also, during the era of prominent Black activist."
