Tank Destroyer Center T-Shirt
SEEK, STRIKE and DESTROY! This was the U.S. Army Tank Destroyer doctrine during World War II to counter the German Mobile Armored Units in Europe during World War II. Established under the leadership of General Andrew Bruce, he chose Killeen, Texas for the site of this training school. Camp Hood would officially be established in 1942 and train US Army Armored units, as well as replacement infantry units through the end of the war. Camp Hood would go on to become Fort Hood and continues its Armored Warfare mission to this day.
