The fur-collared G-1 flight jacket has been a staple throughout American history since its introduction in the 1920s-1930s but Cockpit USA has re-invented the G-1 once again with a now removable genuine fur collar and side entry pockets. This fur-collared flight jacket is sized according to military specification so ordering one size larger is recommended for a looser fit. This jacket is also available in long sizes, HERE.

"Does this jacket (z2108m) have a side entrance to the hand pockets? Some military-specification jackets only had a top entrance to the patch pockets, as it was not intended that the hands would be kept in the pockets."

"Conc. my order #42009 I placed this order with you just after my short telephone conversation with Lauren because I needed a fast delivery because this jacket is a present for a birthday which will occur on Friday next week. She promissed to dispatch it on Tuesday. Right after our telephone call I ordered this jacket online and payed by credit card (because paypal was "not available at the mom"). I got your parcel already today, Thursday, June 12 (12:30 local time). This means delivery within 3 days! This is absolutely crazy! I am totally impressed and very happy. "This seems like a great jacket. I'm 6,2, 190 lbs with a 42 inch chest, size 44 fits perfectly in every dimension save for length. Normally I'd go with a tall, but it extends the arms and I have plenty of length in the arms as it is. So. . . I have a slightly shorter jacket. The leather in the back ends around the small of my back, and the wool knit section comes to around my belt line. If Im wearing a longer tee it'll poke out below the jacket, which is a little unfortunate. That said, everything else is great. I have optimal mobility, unlike a lot of leather jackets which don't gusset the arms correctly. On this jacket I can raise and lower my arms, do the hug test, fully pull back my arms, no problem. I like the fact that the zipper is megachonk, feels very secure. The wind flap is a little big and hard to move the zipper around but I suspect it'll break in. Minor leather smell, nothing too overwhelming. The liner is super nice, I really like the fact that it's easy to put on and take off over a sweater. This is a really nice jacket."

"There are other sites that sell cockpit items but I wanted mine from the source. Also, I could pop into Manhattan if I needed to exchange it. I received it, and had a bit of remorse which quickly went away. Understand this is a blouson type jacket, so you won't look like General Savage in 12 o'clock high, and if you're like me you're no Maverick either. Nonetheless, once you put it on, you'll know why you bought it. The leather is so beautiful and very tough. I ordered size 44, because I have a 42" inch chest ( 5'10", 175ibs) and it fits perfectly! No problem with sleeve length or the length of the jacket itself. I've worn it on days that the temps were in the teens, but I wore my heavy submariner sweater under it. If you have the money I recommend buying it. It really is a premium quality item"

"My order was lovingly wrapped in a carefully sealed box. The jacket was encased in a plastic sleeve and then squarely folded and neatly wrapped in pristine tissue paper with the Cockpit USA logo. I had been looking for a Navy G1 jacket and after scouring the available reviews and pics of various brands, I decided on the Cockpit USA G1. I love the look, fit and feel of this jacket. The goatskin leather is soft and comfortable, despite not having adequate time to be broken in. The features and details (flap, pockets, collar) are as I remembered. I'm 5'7", 160lbs, and the size 40 Regular I ordered is the perfect "slim" fit I was looking for. I like my jackets fitted. Thank you for such an awesome product."
