The fur-collared G-1 has been a staple throughout American history since its introduction in the 1920s-1930s, but Cockpit USA has re-invented the G-1 brown leather jacket once again with a now removable genuine fur collar and side entry pockets. This fur-collared long-fit leather bomber jacket is sized according to military specification so ordering one size larger is recommended for a looser fit.

Our long sizes are approximately 2 inches longer in the sleeves and body than our regular sizes. We suggest these sizes to customers who are 6'3" and taller.

Great fit, misleading color.

"There are not a lot of choices for G-1 jackets with side pockets that are available in Long sizes, so I'm grateful for Cockpit USA for providing that option. The fit is perfect and I enjoy wearing it. Promise time for the jacket was 3-5 weeks and it ended up being closer to 7 weeks for it to be made and shipped. These are hand crafted items so that is somewhat expected. What was unexpected was the color. It looks nothing like the pictures. It's a very, very deep brown that looks black unless hit with the most flattering of light. While I understand that leather by its nature has variance this is beyond reasonable. CockPit USA had the option of sending this back through their QA process but opted to pass it along to the customer instead. I would not purchase another jacket from them again because of this."

AMAZING JACKET PERFECT FIT

"Cockpit USA makes the finest quality military jackets I know of; I wish I knew about them when I was in the service. "Another great G-1. Fast shipping as usual, soft supple goat skin that starts to develop character lines just a few days in. Same leather as the regular G-1. Removable collar is great for a little warmer weather. Side entry pockets are very handy to have for daily use. Really Find My Fit is a very good tool, no need to automatically size up, it comes out pretty accurate. My next will probably be something in black.....maybe SWO.....THanks Cockpit, great jacket"

"Best G-1 jacket on the market today, hands down. The goat skin leather is soft and luxurious and looks great! This is my go to jacket for every occasion. I love the fact that you can remove the mouton collar for those warmer days and then it looks like a completely new jacket."

"Very well made jacket! Great "Made in USA" quality - made to US naval aviation (including USMC) specs. "Must" be made in dark brown goatskin to respect naval aviation tradition. "If unsure" about size: size up one size and opt for "Long". Highly recommend!"

Go for a size up

"Great jacket and great quality - will last for years. I am 6'3 and 245lbs, quite athletically built. My chest is 49in. and large shoulders. The online system suggested 48L. I was a little worried about which size to buy as I am in the UK so needed to get it right first time. After chatting to the staff at CockpitUSA I went for a 50L. The key thing is that the 50L is actually 54in around the chest which gives me a bit of room for a jumper in th winter and is not too baggy with a Polo shirt. Length is just right, doesn't look too short on the body and fits my 38inch sleeves just right. Hope this helps others."
