A coveted possession of those who wore them, the A-2 would break in nicely over time, distressing and developing an aged patina from wear. We have created the men's Mustang A-2 jacket to give you the rugged and classic look of a finely crafted vintage jacket. Crafted from full grain vegetable tanned goatskin specially treated during the production process, our Mustang jacket for sale has a distinct broken in look. Much like original A-2s of the period our Mustang A-2 jacket also features the vintage style collar stand, hook and eye collar clasps, and snap collar, and pocket fasteners. Although vintage in appearance this jacket has been finely tailored for today’s man, for a true to size fit. Updated features include our signature applique lining, side entry, and interior wallet/phone pockets for everyday wear functionality. The signature Cockpit USA Distressed Treatment is a unique process developed by our company Founder, Jeff Clyman. This jacket will not only look like a vintage jacket, it will feel and fit like one too! Initial measurements of our distressed jacket styles may vary slightly once given the signature Cockpit USA Distressed Treatment. Please note that two distressed jackets will never look and fit exactly the same, and that is how we like it! These will include highs and lows in the finish as well as a bit of pilling on knit cuffs and waistband.

"I am 75+years old and very particular about the fit of my clothes preferring exact sizing to S,M,L, etc. I take a 40 Short in a sports coat, stand 5'6", weigh 143 pounds with a 34" waist, 39" chest and 32/33 shirt sleeve. I was intrigued with the distressed quality of the Mustang and bought a Small based on the Cockpit size chart. The fit is very good, however, I had the sleeves altered 1 1/2 inches to suit my preference. The waist is a wee bit snug but nothing to lose sleep over. I hope this description is useful to those of you with a similar body type."
"I bought this jacket in Belgium at a "western" type shop. The jacket is great , i love the distressed look of it and the leather feels great right from the first wear. Being in the Army myself i love this type of jackets and it doesn't hurt it also has this Indiana Jones kinda look. I 5'9 , 205lb and I got the XL and it fits great, with room to layer a bit. Cockpit is surely an underestimated company but true leather jacket fans already know the high quality clothes they make. Cheers!"
