"This jacket for the most part was worth the money and it fits true to size. Very comfortable and the leather feels amazing. My only problem is the left pocket inner lining came with a tear which for the price you pay is disheartening. Overall I’m satisfied."

Quality jacket. Call in to ensure proper sizing

"The jacket is well made, soft, and he loved it. But, after using the measuring guide, I will say it is misleading. I think there needs to be another measurement. Girth. My husband has a belly and I was questioning whether we should go with his girth measurement and he was adamant that wasn’t his waist measurement. The tool said he would need a medium. We received it promptly and of course he couldn’t close it around his tummy. So it has been sent back with an exchange to an XL. We haven’t received the new jacket yet. If we could get an update (expected date)…that would be wonderful. Hopefully before summer hits."

Should have started here!

"I bought my first A-2 Flight Jacker over thirty five years ago and I needed to replace it. The leather was worn, lining torn and the cuffs were forlorn I ordered a A-2 Flight Jacket from five different company's' over the last year. Of 5 jackets that showed up, some were light, one weighed 2 1/2 lbs., one was wrong color and poorly miss matched cuffs and waistband.. Some I didn't even bother to open, just sent it back. Ordered another from a reputable catalogue company and received a coat made in Pakistan! small fortune in shipping costs. AVIREX made my last jacket. It was my blanket, my sleeping bag, my shelter from the storm, and I LOVED it. It was my protection from the elements and the attitudes My new lambskin is not as stiff as my last jacket, but I don't have another 35 years to break it in. This jacket fits right, has a substantial heft and feels like you are properly girded. THIS is the jacket I wanted and spent so much time obtaining. My wife loves it and so will you. The smile on your face after it arrives will be magic, This IS the jacket you want. Spend a couple bucks and you will have a jacket you can be proud and could pass down"

veiny leather Should not be used in a quality jacket.

"I purchased a Cockpit A-2 jacket from another site. I was excited when I ordered the jacket. I was very disappointed when it arrived. Some of the leather was high quality but some of it was veiny leather that should not have been used on a high quality jacket. This jacket was supposed to replace my old jacket I purchased in the 1990s. The jacket also came with a scratch my wife noticed as soon as I opened the box it was mailed in. Very disappointed in the product."

"This my fourth jacket, quality has remain if even a little better. The pricing is consistent with though the years. If I lived in the colder regions the B 3 bomber jacket would the next purchase for me. Ordering really any of there jackets you can't go wrong. The sizing chart is right on the the money. I entered my information accurately, the jacket fits looks great,perfect 2XL."

Quality You Can Feel!

"Outstanding quality. Jacket has a great weight to it. Classic design that won't go out of style. I got it in brown and I would recommend that color to everyone. This is going to go great with jeans and boots in the fall and winter. Love that it's made in the USA. Definitely plan on visiting the showroom and buying a shearling bomber later this year. NOTE: I question Cockpit's size guide. I put in my measurables and it recommended a small - I'm 6'3, I can't remember the last time I wore anything in a size small. I got my usual size (large) and it fits how I imagined it would. I think a medium might've fit but I wouldn't be able to layer too much under it. I would say these run pretty true to size."
