Introduced during WWII, the B-11 parka featured a wool blend lining, and a fur-lined hood for extreme weather conditions, a concern for Army soldiers. This military cold weather parka was specifically engineered to withstand harsh winter climates while keeping servicemen warm. Made famous by Chuck Yeager wearing his B-11 parka in front of his airplane in the winter of 44'; Cockpit USA has replicated this classic style with the same weight and feel as the original, but with a great deal more intrinsic strength and wearability, making this a true collector piece. "It’s very warm without being very bulky. The sheep hood is very warm. The zipper coming up from the bottom is helpful. I’m 5’10” 210lbs and the XXL fits me well. Great product, great service!"
"This parka is great. We’ve had a mild winter here in Northern VA, but when the time comes for a warm layer, this will be it. I’m glad I went to the store for fitting, because I ended up getting a 2XL. I’m 6’4,180 lbs, 33 in waist, fairly broad shoulders, and usually wear a large size in most coats. There’s enough room for layering up if needed. Sizing aside, everything about this parka says it will last for many years to come."
"This is a beautiful, well made and versatile parka. I've been wearing it pretty much nonstop through the Great Pandemic Winter of very cold outdoor dinning here in NYC and it has served me well. Its a cool look thats vintage-y without coming off like you're some sort of WWII re-enactor. The hood is awesome with really plush fur that feels great to wear. I've worn out and about in some serious snow this year and its kept me nice and dry. Lots of pockets. Best of all its vey warm without being bulky or too warm like some of the high end down parkas that I personally find to be too heavy. And nice to not be wearing the same Canadian parka every other New Yorker is wearing right now. Feels like super solid construction and of course great that is made in the US. Overall a great jacket that will last me a while and I think very reasonably priced for what you get."
"A very good quality parka. Some compromises with original materials, wool lining, zip, interior pockets but the original looking is respected. I added a USAAF decal on the left shoulder and some stamps to complete."

"The remarkable aspect of this manufacturer's jackets / coats is the attention to the finishing detail: Inside and out. How many times has one purchased a jacket / coat / shirt, etc., and threads and buttons, zippers are kilter? None to be had with this jacket. An okay looking and well fitting jacket for SHORT persons i.e., ostensibly pilots are short persons that require short jackets? I like the wool interior though I wish it were removable. I also like the ability to cinch the sleeves and draw the hood via the drawstring to keep out the driving gale force winds and precipitation. The hood tends to inhibit movement while driving--at least for me and it is a shame it isn't removable. *It would serve CockpitUSA well to make a 4XL and add an inch to the length to the jacket for those tall framed persons. Also I would want a removable liner. More color options please! What is wrong with Navy Blue or Black? I get the impression from the website and enclosed paraphernalia that CockPitUSA LLC, wishes to remain true to the original style. This is okay; however, it is market segmentation at its worst. The company will miss out on a slew of potential new customers with this mindset."
