Excellent experience shopping at Cockpit
"Excellent experience shopping at Cockpit and the Shearling coat did not disappoint. Great quality and I will certainly be returning to shop again!"
The B-6 short sheared sheepskin flight jacket was first introduced in 1939 and used extensively in the Army Air Force training command when pilots flew open cockpit training planes but needed a lightweight jacket for ease of movement. Light enough to wear with a sweater and other layering pieces; the B-6 shearling bomber jacket is an incredibly contemporary piece of clothing designed by artisans years ago but an easy piece for the field or street. Please note that the shearling is tanned to “antique” as you wear it, giving “highs and lows” in the color so it looks as if you had this jacket since WWII. This will not affect the durability of this product. Order the B-6 flight jacket today! Sheepskin varies from production to production but you'll always receive the same craftsmanship and warmth from Cockpit USA.

"Not bad"
"I'm 5'8", 173, need to lose a few pounds, but size 40 fits perfect. Snug enough to be warm but not constricting [I mainly wear 40S sport coats, 15.5/32-33 dress shirts], looks and fits great with a T-shirt or henley, or a shirt & tie if done properly. Had tried various other shearling bombers and flight coats (Todd Snyder & Golden Bear too tight; Orvis too big)--this has great military feel; the slightly worn Army Air Force insignia is a great touch. The thickness of the shearling is more than envisioned & depicted on the Cockpit site--if google it or go to a seller of Cockpit products (eg. LegendaryUSA) there are additional pictures that 1.) better highlight the thickness/shear length, and 2.) are more accurate in color [it's more reddish brown than light-brown]. Not to imply either is a bad thing--the color is beautiful, and the thickness is appreciated...almost feels more like what the B3 looks like in terms of thickness. It's extremely warm; helpful in this polar vortex with -30 temps here in the midwest. I look forward to wearing this coat for decades."

"Love this jacket. Looks great and is very well made. It is a bit more of a reddish brown than the photos on the website . A clearer depiction of the color can be seen on the company’s Facebook page, it’s great. This is a perfect multi season jacket that I highly recommend. Also management is very responsive and will not rest until all your questions are answered and you are completely satisfied with your purchase"
