Among the most iconic outerwear styles of WWII, the Jeep Coat, also known as the Mackinaw, holds a respected place in military and workwear history. Originally issued as the “MACKINAW OD” in 1938, this men's shearling coat was designed for use by the last of the U.S. horse cavalry units as well as mechanized infantry and armored vehicle crews. Built for harsh environments and long deployments, this jacket became a symbol of utility, resilience and straight forward American design. 

Our shearling version draws inspiration from that original 1938 issue, staying true to its utilitarian roots while introducing a full shearling construction for enhanced warmth, comfort and durability in extreme weather conditions.
