"I am glad I went with my gut and ordered the size 50 vice the recommended 48 which is my usual sport coat and some jackets size. I have a few other Cockpit jackets in 48 that fit fine, but this is a slim cut jacket. A 48 would have been too small. The size 50 fits well and has just enough sleeve length. This is also a more medium weight type jacket. I doubt unless you are really skinny, you could layer much. Love the jacket and like all my other Cockpit jackets, it is excellent quality."

"My new favorite leather jacket. Great goatskin, supple, comfortable, and starts to develope character lines within a few days. Using the FIND MY FIT tool, and comparing to the size chart, the fit is perfect and exactly as the chart says. 6ft 6, 250lbs. Perfect fit in a 52. Great looking jacket!

"I went to the NYC showroom and tried on at least 10 jackets of different styles and sizes. I ended up with the Type 440 carrier jacket in size 42 which is very close to my suit jacket size. What I liked best about this jacket, compared to the A-2 and other models is: 1) No fabric at the cuffs and waist. All leather with zippers and buttons, no snaps (except on the inside pocket). 2) Tabs at the waist to cinch it in if desired. 3) Slimming fit. It's really a great looking jacket. I highly recommend coordinating a visit to the showroom if possible so you can see the variety of styles available. They all fit very differently from one another."

It's going to take 2-3 months to get it

"I assume it's a nice jacket but the delivery timeframe is ridiculous. Ordered on Dec 7 and was told it would be in on by end of Dec. Then Jan 16th and lastly mid Feb. I wouldn't count on getting it for winter 2022 might want to wait until next fall"
