Purchased 4 and a half years ago. It took some email exchanges to dial in my size, that proved to be a wise move as the jack fits very well. The leather quality is top notch, the Natural fur collar is a plus, no sissy hand pockets, heavy duty zipper, quality construction, wind flap works. What surprised me was the weight, this is warm but breathes. I served on a carrier and always had flight jacket envy. The only wear issue is the knit waistband and wrist cuffs are pilling. That cannot be stopped. I've included images after applying patches from my '82 cruise in the Med. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, no buyer's remorse at all. If you are looking for a quality civilian replica of a G-1, this is an excellent choice.

Where do I start, been wanting a G1 for years and finally pulled the trigger on this, my prerequisites for finding the right one was 1. Being handmade in the US 2. Made from quality materials 3. Cut properly to fit me comfortably. So the cockpit ticked all the boxes! I love wearing it, its not too warm but keeps the cold out enough, and I keep getting compliments about it (even my wife)\n \nIn a world of throw away plastic fashion its nice to see people like cockpit make a High quality, durable product that will no doubt last as long as me.\n\nI have large shoulders and neck so was advised to get the next size up, im pretty the jacket is cut the classic way (when people were skinnier) people are generally larger built now, compared to the old days. . . so its advisable to bare this in mind.

*Update*\nI received my repaired G-1 yesterday 11/08/24. The wonderful folks at Cockpit USA repaired the zipper and it works perfectly now. As I said before when I originally received the jacket, their materials and construction are TOP NOTCH.\nYou will not find this amazing quality just anywhere here in America. They were quick to fix the issue with the jacket zipper. They immediately sent me a pre-paid shipping label and I had the jacket repaired and returned to me in about a week and a half turn around time. They got to work very quickly and it makes me proud to see that we still have people who value their customers and their products and stand behind them.\nI am a veteran and have many friends and family who are former service members as well as currently serving in our US Military. I also now work in private aviation and have several pilot and crew members that I know who love fine leather jackets for their flying assignments. I will highly recommend that they buy from Cockpit USA.\nMy father in law is a veteran of the Air Force who served in Korea. I will be surprising him with one of your A2’s for Christmas.
