Best Christmas present ever!
"Couldn't be happier with the quality and fit of the jacket!"
Since its introduction in the late 1930s, the G-1 has remained standard issued gear of the US Navy. Returning to the G-1’s roots, Cockpit USA’s replications have remained true to the jacket’s birth. Using the original military spec patterns calling for use of genuine mouton fur collars from the WWII era, Cockpit USA’s Mil Spec G-1 Long Navy Jacket is truly authentic. Order today and experience the quality of this men's long brown leather jacket.
Note:
This jacket is the LONG/TALL version.
We usually only suggest the LONG versions to customers who are 6’3” and taller.
These jackets are 1”-2” longer in overall body and sleeve length.

The U.S. Navy Issue Mil Spec G-1 Jacket LONG/TALL Z2108L is highly praised for its authentic reproduction of the classic G-1 design, featuring genuine mouton fur collars and 100% goatskin leather. Customers appreciate its superior craftsmanship, great fit, and top-notch quality. However, opinions vary on the synthetic smell of the leather and the lack of hand warmer pockets.

"Couldn't be happier with the quality and fit of the jacket!"
"Seriously love this jacket!! The goatskin leather is much softer, and darker than my original navy flight jacket, but the fit and comfort is SO MUCH BETTER than the original jacket. Thrilled to have a replica Navy flight jacket that I can wear, while the ill-fitting original hangs unused in a closet as a keepsake. This was a great purchase!"
"I bought this to replace my husband’s jacket from his Navy days decades ago. It is very well made. The staff even made a special effort to get it to us in time for Xmas. Totally recommend this company."
"Perfect in every way. The fit, the finish…Every detail is meticulously ticked. The craftsmanship is exquisite. Definitely 5 stars!"
"Great jacket!"
"I used the fitting tool and put a lot of different weights and ages to see what size it recommended. It came down to a 50L or a 52L. As I have a Cockpit A2 that is a bit snug and its measurements matched the size of a 50L. I went with 52L and it fits great. A little loose like the fit tool said, perfect. Fit tool said 50L would be a little snug. I am 6’2” and weigh 235-245. I am sure if I stayed at 230-235lbs I could wear a 50L. But for reference all my sports jackets and suits are 46L and they fit perfect. So, ordering a 52L seemed like a stretch. The problem for me is the shoulder area/hole gets a little too snug so I was worried about that in a 50L. I am very big boned ( which makes a difference) and somewhat muscular but not a body builder at all. I hope this helps. The jacket is fantastic as all Cockpit stuff is! Very well made and will last a long, long time. I bought this to replace my Father’s WWII actual G-1 that I was able to wear in college at 195-200lbs. 1973-1977 UGA! This jacket is as close as you can get to those WWII G-1’s!!!"
"Great product, great service, great people... Thanks a lot!!!!"
"This is my 1st Cockpit USA. I have owned 8 or 10 G-1's over the years, this is the best overall, fit, finish, feel, by far. The sizing widget actually works very well, and going to be pretty darn accurate if you actually measure to get the numbers you put in. It suggested a 54L, I went up one size mostly for caution, but wanted to be able to layer. If I didn't want to layer the 54L would work great, the 56L is going to be perfect for layering ! Nice to see that little flag attached to the label...... American made with great quality from a family owned business. I have a Cockpit Peacoat on order, and going to order the 440USN in a couple of weeks. Thanks for such a high quality product !!!!"
"Outstanding product from an outstanding company!"
"This a beautiful G-1 jacket. The color is a nice dark brown. The collar is a more fine-plush style, i.e. a bit different than in the picture of this webpage (where it looks a bit "scrubby"). It is a medium heavy and padded jacket. The interior snap close pocket is an inside side pocket near the zipper on your left. The two front flap pockets do not have a side entry - not a big deal, but something you may look for. Great Cockpit quality, feel, and smell: as always - you can't go wrong here when buying from Cockpit! The seizing is a bit challenging because I think this jacket was actually conceived for small single seat fighter cockpits for somewhat smaller pilots decades ago. I am 6'4" and around 220 lbs with broad shoulders. While I am a true 46Long I prefer a loose fit as I like to be able to wear a sweater or sometimes even a jeans jacket underneath. My goto size is hence usually a 48Long. However, this is a rather slim fit jacket and many customers went at least one size up even without preferring a loose fit. After great coaching from Jacky and Harlam I finally settled on a 52Long, and I am very happy with it. A 50Long would likely worked as well - a 48Long would have been too snug for my taste, while actually likely being intended that way by the military. The length is perfect. I would buy it again, and I highly recommend it for tall people - don't hesitate: it's a gem. If you are still in doubt about the size reach out to the Cockpit team - I got great help !"
