"I originally bought the lamb skin G-1 with the quilted lining but it was too heavy. I volunteer at the Gen Carl Spaatz USAAF Museum and I wear this Navy Carrier pilot’s jacket as part of my uniform while giving tours and it’s perfect. Fits great, it has a nice broken-in feel and I can wear it both inside and outside for 3/4 of the year. The bi-swing back and under-arm gussets makes it comfortable while driving my car. If you’re not sure, go ahead and buy it. You won’t be disappointed!"

"Love this version of the G-1! The leather is beautiful and looks perfectly "aged" and broken in. While I love the mouton collar on the classic G1, this plain collar version is more versatile in warmer climates. Note on fitment: It fits EXACTLY the same as the Cockpit milspec G1. I sized up thinking it was a trimmer fitting jacket and that was wrong, now I have to exchange it. I would argue that the "aged" goatskin is almost stretched out a bit, adding to the looser fit. So if you own the regular G-1, get your normal size! For reference: I am 5'8" 150lbs trim build with 38" chest and 32" waist (not pant size, actual waist measurement!). The size 40 is too baggy and I will be exchanging it for a 38."
"just received this incredible G-1 made minus the fur collar, and it really challenges every military leather i own, including some superb cockpitusa pieces, other brands and even a number of actual U.S. military contract G-1s and ANJs. honestly i always knew this would be smashing, just by the look of it in numerous pictures. it's a classic military style that has that worn-in look that you can tell wraps around your body. in receiving this, i find that to be totally true. i hadn't purchased it for years because i preferred the fur collar G-1s, but once i started wearing my collars up (popped), i came over to the ANJ-2 side...basically a G-1 without the fur. i decided to finally go for this piece i've drooled over for years, and it virtually beats out any of my other dozen or so milspec style leather jackets. other aspects are the light but super rugged goatskin that is perfectly aged for the worn-in look. this company does it perfectly. reading the sizing you may be tempted to size up, but be careful. i like my jackets a bit roomy and have always gotten 46 in miljackets. that works here too. my suit size is 42, well-fitting, with a 44" chest. so that gives you an idea. this looks so classic and beautiful you'll be tempted to frame it and hang it on a wall, but then you won't be able to wear it all the time, which you'll absolutely want to do! SUPER job cockpit!"
"I had a G-1 jacket years ago, and I loved it, but I wished that I could get one without the fur on the collar as well, since it makes it more comfortable on days that aren't too cold - well, this jacket is exactly what I was looking for! It is made with incredible quality, the color is awesome - absolutely perfect for jeans, especially - it has an excellent weight to it and it fits perfectly - I wear a 46 suit jacket and the 46 looked best on the G-1, so I would recommend buying it true to size - just love it - looks incredibly cool, stylish, and fits like a glove - comfortable as well - highly recommend it!"

Took me a few days to figure out it was goatskin. It looked so good on him I decided I would find one for myself. All of my previous jackets have been the A-2 Air Force style. I went with the Navy G-1 and it’s the best I have ever owned. This particular jacket is so perfect. You may have to order one size up to get the perfect fit. That’s what I had to do.
